The Minister of Development and Investment, Mr. Adonis Georgiades and the Secretary General of Commerce, Mr. Sotiris Anagnostopoulos, visited on Wednesday, July 14, 2021, the special defense industry exhibition DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens, which is hosted at the Metropolitan Expo Exhibition Center. The Minister was the keynote speaker at the event on the topic of the Development of the Shipbuilding Industry of Greece.
After the event, the Minister and the Secretary General of Commerce met with representatives of the domestic exhibition industry, one of which was the organizing company. Project Ltd., which organizes the international exhibition of “Climatherm Energy”" and with whom they had the opportunity to discuss the restart of the sector with the support of the Ministry of Development and Investments.
Trade shows officially open their doors on the 1stthe September to welcome both the domestic and international business community.
Minister Mr. Georgiadis, regarding the restart of the exhibition sector, stated that
Greece, adhering to all health protocols and without endangering public health, is opening the exhibition sector from September 1st for vaccinated people, so that the economy and business life can proceed with health and safety. We are fully prepared and confident of the success of the opening and we will do very well.
Mr. Alexis Lagoudakis, CEO of the Metropolitan Expo exhibition center, stated on behalf of the exhibition organizers that: "«I would like to thank the Minister of Development and Investments, Mr. Georgiadis, and the Secretary General of Commerce and Consumer Protection, Mr. Anagnostopoulos Sotiris, for their assistance in restarting the sector.
